Fall Sessions for 2012

I am now booking for fall family sessions! I am not offering as many sessions as I normally do so if you are considering a session with me, you may want to act fast. I typically have a waiting list.

Family sessions will be $200.00 with 10-15 high resolution images on cd and a xmas card image (jpg file) for you to print just in time for the holidays. Sessions must be paid in full at time of booking. In the past when payment was not received,  I would have a few  people back out the day before (and I would usually never hear back from them). I often have a wait list in the fall and when I lose that booking, I lose that income and the opportunity to fill that spot with one of my wait listed clients.

Sessions will be on location and will take place the the last hour or two before sunset (depending on location selected). I will primarily be shooting on the weekends. There may be the chance that your session will be rained out or have bad weather. That happened to a few families last year so I have left some days open so that I may reschedule for anyone that happens to. If time permits and weather is good there is a chance I will release some of those dates I have set aside.

I do not have many dates left. I have had previous inquiries recently and I let those inquiries have access to those dates first. I have listed dates below that are left. You may also ask to be placed on my wait list.

Saturday September 15th
Saturday September 27th
Saturday November 3rd 

I am completely booked for families until 2013. If you get yourself on my wait list, I may open up a few more in November if weather permits.  I am planning on doing some family sessions in the spring in the almond groves. I won't have many of those so if you are interested, stay tuned and get those appointments with me as soon as possible.

Matt and Donnie - L.A. Temple Wedding

My entourage and I had the pleasure of covering Matt and Donnie's sealing. I say entourage because I had shot this wedding just weeks after the dreaded knee injury. I wasn't quite sure if I could handle it with just a second shooter (thanks Eric!). So a couple of interns tagged along for the fun (thanks Lexi and Ally!).  These two lovebirds and their families were so kind and gracious!!! It was a pleasure for all of us to shoot your big day!!! Reagan Turns 1!

Reagan visited me for her 1 year portraits and a cake smash. My awesome pearls (that I still wear, but am willing to share with my little visitors) were a big hit for Reagan. So much so, that she was not willing to part with them during her session. Can't blame her! Girl has got some excellent taste in accessories!

We were sad for a second...

but cake makes everything better!!!!!!!!!!!!

Avery Rose

Avery was the best baby!!!! She was so sleepy and easy to pose. It was really hard for me no to snuggle her to death! Once upon a time when I was just starting out with this photography thing, Avery's parents allowed me to practice taking engagement photos of them. I am so flattered that they came back a few years later and trusted me to take pictures of their sweet baby! It was wonderful to catch up with you guys!!! I hope you love your sneaky peek as much as I do!!!

Family Sessions 2012/What to Wear - Summer

Why hello there!!! Long time no see, right? This week I am feeling well enough to make my venture into the land of the living. My knee surgery went well, but was a little more complicated than anticipated. I am sporting a few extra screws than planned for. I think I'd rather do through labor again honestly!

I'll be releasing my schedule soon for family sessions. Due to my knee surgery/recovery/therapy, I am not planning on scheduling a lot of sessions. I have had a lot of inquiries lately and if all my inquiries book a session (as they say they will), I will be booked until 2013 for families. There have been a few questions about beach sessions again. If there is enough interest, I will book a weekend of sessions at my favorite beach.

Sessions must be paid for at time of booking. For those of you new to my work, I will explain why. Photography is not my full time job, teaching is. However, it is still a business and a source of income for my family. In the past, I have had many cancellations the day of or the day before from clients that did not pay. I have waiting lists every year and when there is a cancellation, I lose that weekend to shoot and the income I would have received. This was really tough on my family especially when my hubby was unemployed. So if I require the session fee at time of booking, I know I have clients serious about booking with me.

So with all this in mind, I thought I'd share a few more "What to Wear Guides".  They are summer guides, but here in Bako, it's summer until early October.

Ty and His Big Brothers

Finally!!!!! After many months of newborn girls coming in, a newborn boy came for a visit!!!! There must be something in B-town water because so many people seem to be having girls!  Getting a boy in was awesome! Getting a newbie boy with tons of hair!!!!! Woot, woot!!! Ty was an absolute dream. He slept most of the time and has the most beautiful skin and complexion. That definitely makes editing a breeze. Big brothers joined us at the end of the session for a few brother shots. They were so good sitting for me and earned a trip to the much loved prize box. It was great to visit with you all!!
